R.V Highschool, Itagi

Shri Rameshwara Vidyodaya High School, Itagi, Popularly known as R V High School Itagi, is another institution of S.P.Samiti, was started in the year 1963. Shri Ganesh Hegde Dodmane, with the help of Shri R T Hegde Hoovinmane, and many other local leaders the school was started with the very motto “Education is Power” in this rural area.
Shri Timmanna Bhat and Shri Subray Mahabaleshwar Bhat , Itagi were the donors of the land to build the high school building. Former chief minister of Karnataka Shri Ramakrishna Hegde and Shri Veerendra Patil both laid the foundation stone to build the school, which was a memorable event the school had. Now the school has got good infrastructure with newly constructed auditorium in the memory of golden jubilee year.
Secretary Shri K I Hegde Targod with keen interest under the guidance of the chairman looking after the affairs of the school. Shri D G poojar, a devoted head master is putting his efforts to bring the success and glory to the institution. Many development works have been done in recent past and the management is coming up with a future plan to provide modern infrastructure to the School. Shri Vinayakrao G Hegde, Chairman is behind the scene for all the developmental work done.
The high school has very good alumni’s many of them are serving the nation in many areas. Shri S.G Hegde, IAS Retired, Shri Rajaram Hegde, Retired professor and writer, Smt Bhuvaneshwari Hegde, Retired professor and well known writer, Shri M I Hegde retired principal, Shri G G Hegde Balgod, retired Head master and awardee of National teachers award are among the notable personalities the school ever produced.
Academic:
State level Syllabus is taught, Academic year begins on 1st of June every year. Admission to 8th standard, 9th standard and 10th standard is given to the students who have passed the qualifying examinations.
Result:
In S S L C board exams, R V High school has given 100% result many times in the past. Now dedicated staff are working hard to give best result.
Achievements:
Apart from the curriculum the high school has given emphasis on extra curriculum activities sports, cultural program music, etc. Students have got right platform to show their talents. The School has got many awards in State Level Pratibha Kharanji , Debate Competition and Music events.
