Our story
Shikshana Prasarak Samiti is the brainchild of Shri Ganesh Hegde Dodmane, a freedom fighter and philanthropist, and of Shri Ramakrishna Hegde, the former Chief Minister of Karnataka, together with their associates.
It was founded in 1953 with the noble aim of educating students from the poorest families of Siddapur taluk. Shri Ganesh Hegde Dodmane was its founder president.
Since then the Samiti has grown into one of the region's major educational bodies, offering everything from pre-primary schooling to higher education and medical education in Ayurveda.
Today the Samiti is led by Chairman Shri Vinayakrao G. Hegde and Vice Chairman Dr. Shashibhushan Hegde, who are bringing new technology and modern infrastructure to its institutions and taking them to the next level.
