I measure the progress of a community by the degree of progress which women have achieved.
When you invest in a girl's education, she feeds herself, her children, her community and her nation.
Why a girls' high school
The Samiti opened a girls' high school in 1966, when education was hard to get even for boys. The founder, Shri Ganesh Hegde Dodmane, saw that girls needed education to overcome gender inequality and to build a strong, responsible society.
It remains the only high school in the district exclusively for girls. Its first head master, Shri S. V. Dixit, set the model for turning the founder's dream into reality. Thousands of its students are now well established in society.
