A little school among the hills
Siddapur is a small town among dense hills, rows of areca and banana plantations and scattered villages. Here the Shri Siddhivinayak Vidya Samucchaya has blossomed, drawing children from village after village.
Balavihara began in 2004–05 with only a few children, to give little ones an education with a modern touch. It has since grown to more than 140 children, a reflection of the quality of education here.
A building made for small children
Chairman Shri Vinayakrao Hegde built a beautiful, well-equipped separate building with the little ones' welfare in mind. It has a dining room, separate rooms for baby sitting, Pre-KG, LKG and UKG, and an indoor play area. The new building was inaugurated by Shri A. K. Shastri and other dignitaries.
Balavihara follows Montessori education and gives children ample opportunity to grow physically and intellectually. Joyful learning of academic and executive-function skills, through a carefully sequenced curriculum, is its hallmark.
